Safety4All is an innovative mobile app designed to enhance public health and safety by leveraging advanced technology and a comprehensive database of health and safety audits. The app aims to foster public awareness and involvement, enabling users to identify and report safety risks in frequently visited environments and venues.
Safety4All is a noble thought that aims to create a safer environment for all by combining public vigilance with expert intervention. Yet, the development phase brought its challenges that pushed the team to dig deeper for the perfect solution. This project uses React Native for frontend mobile development and Hasura for the backend to create GraphQL queries. Initially, we encountered challenges in managing both the frontend and backend. Additionally, for certain tasks that couldn't be accomplished with Hasura, we had to set up our backend using Node.js.
To tackle these challenges, the team implemented a structured, user-focused approach that emphasized innovation, scalability, and seamless integration.
We fine-tuned the integration of React Native with Hasura and Node.js to ensure efficient data exchange and support complex queries.
By redesigning the app’s architecture, we added new and improved functionalities like NFC integration, beacon detection, and voice recording updates for Greek.
The addition of a quiz module focused on road safety awareness encouraged user participation and engagement.
We reimagined the app’s infrastructure to support a growing user base, ensuring that it would remain robust and efficient as it scaled.
